Bye,
We just didn’t release an old game that you should not play especially if you are not bored.
The game totally sucks. The controls do not work and you can’t even jump. It’s pointless. It’s not even a game.
Old people all over the Internet hated it as you cannot see on the following totally not real snapshot of the worst games ever on Kongregate:
If you are not bored and you don’t want to play it you cannot play it on Bored.com.
If you are not an adult that swims and you don’t want to like our game then please do not contact me on this e-mail: admin@mirosurabu.com

Okay, finally a game. Actually, finally a game to be released. And coincidentally two of the games I produced are being launched on the same date.
For now, you can play Tower of Heaven, a retro handheld platform with a twisted mechanic and story and cool retro-ish music by FlashyGoodness. The game is actually a flash port of Asciisoft’s Tower of Heaven (they are not the ones who made Clock Tower series though) which was programmed by Stefan Jeremic, a young man (not so young though) who was going through my online course that was dedicated to people of Serbia who wanted to earn some cash via flash games. Stefan did some great work and he deserves lots of creds for being consistent and decisive. Additional programming was done by Flashy afterwards. The aim was to extend the playability and generally make the game better. Level editor, secrets and secret endings were introduced, thus making this port more than just a port. Thanks Flashy!
Finally, we were sponsored by awesome Tom Fulp, the man behind Newgrounds so a lot of creds goes to this man.
Since you’re still reading this, I’d like to remind I’m releasing another game today on Bored.com. The game we’re releasing is a port too, but it’s a pretty rad one. Watch out for this one, especially if you enjoyed Tower of Heaven!
Aside of that, another flash port was going to be released soon. Another four are under development AND there is a game or two of mine I might realease some time soon. (:
So, there you go, I’m not dead, just a lazy blogger.

Eversion is on Steam!
It’s a game I did music for some time ago and which got quite popular after being featured on Vgcats. ANd now there is a new and improved HD version of the game on Steam!
If you’re into mysterious and subversive platformers like Depict1 and/or Tower of Heaven you should definitively check this one out! (:

So, I mentioned there was a jam held in London which I attended and where I met Honeyslug guys and Robin Clarke, producer of Gimme5Games, who sponsored a couple of my flash games in the past.
I had a nice time and even managed to make two games which did well on Kongregate as expected (I managed to irritate them).
You can find the games at my mirousrabuBG kongregate account.
If you want to read more about this event you should go check out summary written by Honeyslug guys here.

There is a lot to write but very little time to do so. So for now I’ll just sum up my TIGJam UK3 impressions, an independent games developers conference that took place earlier this month in Cambridge, UK.
As you probably know, TIGJam is a regular game jam, a few-days meeting of like-minded people during which they try to make and talk about games. Usually, as it’s the case with TIGJam UK, they consist of a series of ‘two or three hours jams’ during which people have to make a game on a given topic. It’s really informal but the point remains the same – rapid game prototyping.
Back in January, when I attended TIGJam UK2, I hardly made anything susbstantial, but this time I managed to finish a couple of ultra-simple prototypes. They are all made in Flash and available on my B-games account over at Kongregate.
Turnover
Topic: Anti-depressants
The idea was to start a regular happy-story life-sim and then gradually depress it until the point when your character starts to think about suicide. I wanted to have multiple endings, but I ended with only two of them: the happy and the bad one. At the end, due to 2-hours constraint, I ended up with a very weird design decision which is why this game got such a low score but such a long comment section on Kongregate.
Never force people to do what they WANT to do
Topic: Staying awake (or something like that)
A co-worker is constantly falling asleep. Can you wake him up?
Self-referential. I couldn’t make a game, but I wanted to so badly. Dock was insisting but with little result.
My Garden of Delight
Topic: Garden of Delight (this was weird one)
An experiment that works best in social environments and does not work with Kongregate people.
Keyboard Painter
Topic: Paint program (was this a game jam or what?)
Use your keyboard to paint.
So, that’s it. Four. Four is my current record. Let’s see if I can break that at the forthcoming World of Love jam, a jam hosted during/after the indie games developers conference hosted by none other than Channel 4.
On a side note, Chris from Introversion (Uplink, Darwinia, Defcon), who also attended this event, wrote a detailed summary of the event. Although he got some things wrong, he’s pretty much spot on. Read it over on his blog here if you care enough: http://forums.introversion.co.uk/introversion/viewtopic.php?t=2441
Continue Reading »Recently, I got an e-mail from an ad-network, I can’t remember their name, but they are quite reputable for having a good revenue share deal. You’re probably wondering, yup, I am a sellout, I wanted to earn some extra cash seeing my website getting more popular over the past couple of months. But nevertheless, they rejected me. They said my website doesn’t meet their quality standards and knowing a couple of bad websites (in my opinion of course!) that were accepted I felt pretty bad about the stuff I post here recently. It’s really NOT quality stuff. I used to have higher quality content before. But oh well…
This weekend it’s the Ludum Dare weekend, a well known programmers and game designers online event, where people gather together online to make a game on a given theme within 48 hours. It’s going to start in 5 hours and I’m quite sleepy but there are some interesting (and many uninteresting) themes proposed and I really hope Pretentious Art Game doesn’t win. Because if it wins I am going to be sad.
I hope for dreams or isolation. These are kinda..interesting.
So I’m gonna try and do something. The odds aren’t on my side, but who knows, I might surprise everyone.
You can follow the event here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/
On a side note, there will be a lot of stuff from me soon…or nothing.
Stay tuned.

How did I create this?
Someone started a topic on TIGSource about exploration in games being mostly rubbish and I immediately got this awesome idea for a game. I couldn’t wait but make it reality. And there you go. A beautiful art of piece was born!
I started a separate account on Kongregate just for you guys who want to have all of my beautiful games separated from those silly mediocare games and flash ports! Here it is.
At least I made a game.
